Bio
My name is Isely Mills. I have a deep interest in the etymology and history of language, especially in relation to Japanese and Chinese. I love learning new things, and I spend a great deal of time on sites like Wikipedia, reading articles about how things work. I graduated from the University of New Mexico, in New Mexico, with a BFA (Bachelor's in Fine Arts) with a minor in Japanese. I studied in Kyoto, Japan at Ritsumeikan University for 1 year through my school's study abroad program. I cherish that experience as one of the most impact-full in my life.

Through living in Japan, and through my 7 years of study of the language, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of it. That being said, there is always plenty to learn. As Socrates is credited as having said: "I only know that I know nothing," in other words - in order to be a true student, one must always be humble and open to learning new things. I value this trait highly.

I love logic, and other technical endeavors like engineering, mathematics, physics, astronomy etc. I also have a deep interest in music. I have played classical guitar for 9 years, as well as a bit of Shamisen.
