About me:

After completing my linguistic studies at the University of Siegen in 2010, I was keen on applying my skills as a translator for the gaming industry. It seemed a natural next step
because not only do I love working with words, I love PC games, Nintendos, Xboxes and Playstations alike.

I quickly broke into the industry as a linguistic game tester for a localization company in Germany. Within a few months I was promoted to a translator's position where I gained
extensive experience in translating, editing and localizing.
 Since 2014 I am working as a freelancer specialized on the localization of video games.

My services:

English/French -> German translation

I offer translations from English/French to German of Websites, Apps and Video Games, their manuals, voice scripts, marketing material, graphic text, box art, guides, subtitles… and
everything else related to Games.
Fulfilling all of your needs is one key part of my work, another one is my desire to deliver the best possible localization for the players. Localized versions of Video Games have a
reputation of never being as good as their original version. I am working hard to change that and reactions from the media & my clients about my work bear testimony to the high quality I deliver.

English/French -> German editing / proofreading

Since I started working in games I have processed millions of words and gained the reputation of being among the pickiest of proofreaders with a sharp attention for detail.
I have been working as an editor on more than 30 games larger than 150.000 words, so no matter how big and challenging your game is, I am staying on top of things.

English/French -> German testing / LQA

If you are not completely sure whether your game meets your quality requirements, contact me and we can discuss the further procedure together.
Usually this is how it works: I will create a test case and then systematically check your software on technical or linguistic quality issues, or both. All found issues will be reported
to you or will be wiped out on the spot, if I get access to the respective text files.
After my work is done I’ll write an evaluation about the quality and send it to you, so that you get a brief, but detailed overview of your localized product.

My projects:

In the past 14 years working in house and as a freelancer I have worked on ~180 games (effective April 2024) of all genres, sizes and for all available platforms, approximately
half of them as a translator, half of them as an editor, some of them all by myself. Large AAA productions with up to 3.000.000 words, highly creative pieces, medium sized indie games, mobile games…
I feel comfortable with any project.

Here are a few media reactions to games where I was credited:

What the media says:
