These devices should be inspected before and after each use. Visually examine the devices for obvious physical damage including:
• Cracked, broken or otherwise distorted plastic parts.
• Broken or significantly bent connector contacts.
• Damage including cuts, punctures, nicks, abrasion, unusual lumps, significant discoloration.
• Tips for damage, corrosion or misalignment condition.
• On hand-switching forceps, switch contacts for corrosion, discoloration and flatness.
Cleaning:
Remove any obvious debris accumulated during use from the device with a soft, non-metallic instrument cleaning brush plus mild detergent and sterile purified water solution. Rinse thoroughly with sterile, purified water until free of detergent residual and debris, then thoroughly dry using a sterile wipe, (Do not fully immerse in fluids).
Precautions:
• Do not scrape or scrub coated surface with abrasives.
• Do not use cervical brush to clean smoke tube.
• Do not overlap instruments in sterilization tray.
• Do not soak coated instruments in CIDEX or other caustic cold sterilization solutions.
• Do not use bleach
• Do not place coated instruments in ultrasonic cleaner.

Description of the invention
The invention is related to the field of ambulatory monitoring of biological signals, particularly monitors that use cables and electrodes for connection to the patient’s skin. Ambulatory monitors comprised of prосessing unit, ditgital memory, signаl conditioning circuitry and front end biological signal(s) acquisition circuitry.
Usually ambulatory monitors are implemented as a single plastic housing with hardwired or detachable cables for connection to the patient’s body. Examples of the ambulatory monitors that use described above configuration include monitors of Electrocardiogram (EСG) and breath monitors for sleep disorders study.
Common problem of such monitors is that they are used by several patients without proper hygienic treatment between monitoring of different patients. These electronic devices can not be subjected to wet cleaning or sterilization because their housing can not be hermetically sealed.
As the result, grease and dirt accumulated in the slots, groves and surfaces of the plastic housing during monitoring of one patient remain on the device when it is given to another patient. The same is applied to the re-usable cables. To use equipment that was used by other persons in close contact with their bodies is not only unpleasant, but also potentially dangerous because of a risk of cross-contamination or transferring disease through that equipment.
It is an object of the present invention to provide means to supply each patient that requires ambulatory monitoring with the hygienically clean monitor.

Примерами амбулаторных мониторов с вышеописанной конфигурацией являются мониторы для записи электрокардиограммы (ЭКГ) и мониторы дыхания для изучения нарушений сна.
Общей проблемой таких мониторов является то, что они используются несколькими пациентами без должной гигиенической обработки между мониторингом разных пациентов. Подобные электронные приборы не могут быть подвергнуты влажной обработке или стерилизации в связи с тем, что их корпус нельзя герметизировать.
В результате грязь и жир, скапливающиеся в щелях и на поверхности пластикового корпуса в процессе мониторинга, остаются на приборе при передаче другому пациенту. То же касается многоразовых кабелей. Использование оборудования, находившегося в тесном контакте с кожей других людей не только неприятно, но и потенциально опасно из-за риска перекрестного загрязнения и передачи болезней через это оборудование.
Цель данного изобретения — предоставить каждому пациенту, нуждающемуся в процедуре амбулаторного мониторинга, гигиенически чистый монитор.
