I am a native English speaker with a Masters degree in Advanced Language Skills (French) from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland and a Bachelor's degree in French and Irish from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, Ireland. During my studies I gained a lot of translation experience and for my thesis I translated a children's book from French into English and commented on the various methodologies adopted during translation. I have been working for a translation company as a translator and project manager since 2010, during which time I have gained valuable experience translating from French into English in the areas of marketing, software and tourism, as well as managing projects and dealing with CAT tool engineering on a regular basis. I have a lot of experience using Trados 2007 and Studio 2011 as well as other CAT tools such as SDLX, Wordfast, Catalyst 9.0 and Idiom. I would prefer smaller jobs as I work 09:00-17:30, but have more availability at weekends.
