Citrix는 2009년 삼성SDS와 Cloud Center 내 SBC환경을 Citrix를 이용하여 현재구축완료
SDS는 이 환경을 지속적으로 확장하고자 하였으나, EMC와 Vmware의 공조를 통해 G-PLM Project를 시작으로 삼성전자 SBC환경을 Vmware로 유도하고자 함.
현재 SDS와는 달리 삼성전자는 Citrix & Vmware를 동시에 검토하고 있으며, 삼성전자 초기 도입에 대한 본 PJT의사결정에 따라 삼성전자 전사 표준화 및 전사 확산이 가능한 기회가 있으나 , 6월내 기술적인 부분이 해결되지 않을경우 본 PJT 수주는 물론 향후 Vmware도입이 매우 어려울것으로 판단됨,

Global PLM Project, one of Samsung Electronics global projects, is planning to support 100 users from May as a testing operation and then expand its service to 20,000 users until the end of this year.
The most pending issue of G-PLM Project is to meet Samsung’s requirements for internal/external security. Currently Samsung is reviewing desktop virtualization deployment (Implement SBC environment for 2D/3D as well as general operations).
Current Status for G-PLM Desktop Virtualization
Feb 12 & Feb 18: Had demo sessions for Samsung G-PLM TF VP, comparing VMware with Citrix solutions
Feb 22: Plan to provide a demo session for Information strategy VP
Test criteria
Virtualization for general operations including 2D (Cadence)
Workstation virtualization for 3D CAD operation (NX)
Samsung will select the solutions after 1-2 months (till the end of April) Pilot Test for both VMware and Citrix solutions
After selecting the virtualization solutions, SEC will start testing operation from May.
Competitive Analysis
Citrix has already implemented the SBC environment using its products in the Cloud Center of Samsung SDS in 2009.
Samsung SDS plans to expand this SBC environment but unlike Samsung SDS, SEC currently considers both Citrix & VMware solutions. EMC Korea wants to use G-PLM Project as a starting point which will eventually lead EMC to build SEC SBC environment based on VMware solutions. If Samsung PJT decides to select VMware solutions for this project, it will provide EMC great opportunities to expand VMware solutions throughout the whole Samsung group and others.
However, this will be possible only if all the technical issues are resolved within June. Unless technical requirements are met, neither striking the PJT deal nor generating future VMware deals is feasible.

- Marketing materials: I do not just translate them with fluency but I also edit the contents to reflect more local sentiment.
- Software UIs and Web site UIs: With thorough testing using live software, I could fix lots of strings related with internationalization problem. Avoiding word-to-word literal translation, the localized UIs can truly express the real meaning of their own functions.
- Manuals and Online help files: Carefully translated and edited to follow the real steps and processes.
- Proposals and product enhancement files: I have localized them excellently into English from Korean. It is important to provide the best quality of files to report required product functions and problems. Especially the proposal files are fluently and clearly localized to help customers understand the benefits of the products to strike the deals and increase the revenue.
- Demo subtitle and transcripts: I poured extreme care and efforts for fluency and accuracy since these will be used for potential customers and offsite events too. It is important to consider the length and also the purpose of the demo.
