I am a native speaker of English and also fluent in Portuguese, French and Spanish. As a translator and editor I am highly experienced and versatile (see my website), with a particular interest in the subject areas of current affairs (politics, economics, international relations, environment), travel and sport. In recent years I have translated two books: the memoirs of Brazil's former foreign minister Celso Amorim (Acting Globally, published by Hamilton Books in 2017), and Bringing Down Gaddafi (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014) by the Brazilian journalist Andrei Netto. In addition to my wide-ranging freelance experience I was also employed by the Brazilian embassy in London as an editor and translator between 2003 and 2017. I lived in Portugal and Brazil for seven years, I have close family connections with France, and I am a frequent visitor to Spain.
