I am a native speaker for both English and Spanish (American mother, born and raised in Mexico).
I have a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon.
I have over 15 years of translating experience which come from 2 sources:
- I worked for an American company in Mexico, which processed savings coupons information. I was in charge of the process design and implementation in all 5 processing Plants.The above gave valuable experience in supervising programmers, both American and Mexican, and therefore to learn about hardware, software, and terminology, in both English and Spanish. I also translated many operations and procedure manuals, Spanish to English and English to Spanish. I communicated daily with the corporate office in Winston-Salem, NC and fequently with American clients, both personally and by phone.
- I have worked with a consulting and translations company for the last 5 years, as part of their translation team.
I am an avid reader, mostly in English. I enjoy particularly history and social sciences, but most of my translations have been in machinery and robotics manuals, business proposals, legal contracts, job descriptions, real estate, and programming.
I also enjoy crafting and painting.
I am cathollic and actively participate in various church activities.
I am a fast and accurate translator and enjoy my work because I do learn so much from it. I also get to know very interesting persons from all over the world.
