My mother tongue is Italian. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I have an upper intermediate knowledge of Russian.

I have a Masters degree in translation (University of Pisa), a Masters degree in English and Spanish language and literature (Roma Tre University) and the DITALS II level certificate which certifies my competence in teaching Italian to foreigners (University for Foreigners of Siena).

I have been teaching Italian to English speaking students in South African since 2012. First at the University of Cape Town and then for the Dante Alighieri Society (ongoing).

I am a sworn translator and interpreter in the High Court of South Africa (EN<>ITA) since 2014.

As a freelance translator I have worked on: certificates, diplomas, academic records, decrees, subtitles, financial reports and pharmaceutical documents.

I also translated for the different Institutions I worked for:

- The Canadian Embassy in Rome: translation of speeches, letters, guidelines, web-site contents.

- The Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NGO): localization of devices for the Italian market; translation of instruction handbooks and contracts; interpreting during business meetings, conferences and working group meetings (as an interpreter I travelled to: Belgium, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey).

- Literary magazine "Lo Straniero": book reviews and translation of articles about literature, economics and politics. The magazine was run by Goffredo Fofi, a preeminent figure in the Italian cultural environment.

- Piemme (Mondadori) publishing house: translation of two novels, Dipika Rai’s Someone Else’s Garden; Ruiyan Xu’s The Lost and Forgotten Languages of Shanghai (both published).
