El Derecho Adjetivo es el Derecho de forma, es decir, constituye el conjunto de normas y principios que tienden especialmente a regular las relaciones jurídicas, poniendo en ejercicio la actividad judicial, comprendiendo las leyes procedimentales y de enjuiciamiento.

El Derecho Sustantivo es el Derecho de fondo, que consiste en el conjunto de normas jurídicas de diverso linaje que establece los derechos y obligaciones de las personas.
