Spanish term or phrase: cuero crudo El contexto es: Morral en cuero crudo con correa de algodón, sujetadores metálicos y presillas de cuero con remaches. Es para un catálogo de artesanías argentinas que va a ser presentado en Europa. ‘Cuero crudo’ pareciera ser la traducción literal de ‘rawhide’, pero este término significa algo así como ‘tiento’ y no se parece en nada a la cartera, que parece ser de un cuero con las marcas naturales del material. ¡Se parece mucho al ‘vachetta leather’! ¿Serán sinónimos? Incluso aparece como 'cuero crudo craquelado' en otra cartera, que supongo será 'crackled X leather' dependiendo de como traduzca 'cuero crudo'... ¡Muchas gracias! untreated leather OR rawhide Explanation: Just another couple of options that are commonly used in the industry. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 19 hrs (2012-01-20 15:40:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- That is often the case, although it is also used for bag handles, trims, etc. But you may well be right in this instance and untreated leather is a safer bet.
