cancer/carcinogenic cells develop 6 out of 10 times

During the life of a single individual, cancer cells develop in six of every ten instances.

Explicación:
That is, six of every ten instances involving any cell development whatsover.

Spell out numbers through "ten."

A startling datum, if this is indeed the meaning, and if it is true.

Suerte.

"Las células de cáncer" might also mean here "potentially cancerous/carcinogenic cells."

Neutral  Robert Forstag: I don't see how "tumor cell proliferation" is more correct for "celulas de cancer" than any of the other alternatives offered. Given that the sense seems to be that the cells in question are only potentially cancerous, it seems downright misleading.

-> "Las células de cáncer ocurren..." = definitely, what the author asserts. The idea of "potentially cancerous" is yours... Thanks for your comment.
