Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Patient MRI scan
Spanish term or phrase: PTE CTE
This pair of abbreviations appear as a heading to an MRI report. It concerns a Dutchman with a back injury in Spain. He presented to an emergency department and underwent MRI which showed a prolapsed disc. He was in a hurry to return home and left for Holland with simple analgesia but with instructions to be followed up in his own country. The discharge letter (a separate translation) notes that he had the MRI and was given a copy of the report. So I am assuming that PTE is an abbreviation for "paciente" or "patient" but I cannot find any expansion of the three letters "CTE". Could the "C" stand for "copia"? Or the "E" for "entregada"? I should be very grateful for any light that could be shed on this. Thanks in advance.
