unwound aorta, unrolled, extended

Explanation:
O tal vez extended. He encontrado algo similar...

Careful anatomic studies have established the way the cardiac band should be unrolled.Go Go 3,4 Unwrapping occurs easily(Figure 1), with least resistance, along a natural cleavage plane. Dissection of the ventricular myocardial band can be accomplished in three steps. In the first step(Figure 2Go, A), the basal loop is unrolled.

agree  Dr Sue Levy (X): absolutely - but from past experience, difficult to convince non-medically qualified translators that an unfolded aorta is tortuous :-)//see what I mean?!

  -> Thanks, Dr Sue

neutral  liz askew: With all due respect, I fail to see how "desenrollar" equates with "tortuous", having looked up the definition of "desenrollar"...??//Please explain to a mere linguist..//The query is "desenrollada", not "tortuoso". Are you saying they mean the same?

  -> Hi, Liz, an arotic tortuosity is a common find in normal elder persons. A dilated aorta is a pathologic condition. And in yahoo answers the question is wrong, the aorta is not a vein. Hope this can help.

disagree  Patrick Weill: more properly unfolding, though unfolding causes tortuosity

  -> This link refers to a tortous aorta; you can use both terms, so a neutral could have been better https://openi.nlm.nih.gov/detailedresult.php?img=PMC2605764_...
