Yes, teeth are located in the jaws, as Liz has noticed.

neutral  liz askew: My point exactly, are they aligning the teeth, or in my contribution, are they making the top jaw level with the bottom one. There is a subtle difference, IMHO./"La mordida = bite".

Explanation:

When I first saw the term "bis a bis" on the kudoz list I laughed and intended to go right ahead and correct it to "vis-à-vis". But then I opened the question and realized there were two answers, one of them already taking into account my own understanding.

Occlusion refers to the alignment of teeth and the way that the upper and lower teeth fit together (bite). Ideally, all upper teeth fit slightly over the lower teeth. The points of the molars fit the grooves of the opposing molar. All teeth are aligned, straight, and spaced proportionally. The upper teeth keep the cheeks and lips from being bitten and the lower teeth protect the tongue.

According to what I could gather, "una mordida vis a vis/bis a bis " means when the jaws are closed the upper teeth lay right on top of the lower ones. A correct bite will have the upper teeth fit slightly over the lower teeth. As in pic C on this link (A is normal, B is overbite, C is vis-à-vis, D is underbite.
http://www.scielo.cl/fbpe/img/rcp/v70n6/img04.gif

And yes, to get a good occlusion doesn't only mean moving teeth around if necessary, but it could also mean working with bone structure.
http://www.drsmiles.com/content/overbite.htm

I think both neil and liz are right: the patient's occlusion is going to be aligned, teeth and possibly jaw included. The thing is, we don't have more context, and if it's an acute case of malocclusion this will not make it a "normal" bite, just not severely misaligned.

Look at the kinds of bites there are: (Crowded teeth; Misaligned teeth; Crossbite; Overbite; Underbite; Open bite)
