Estoy traduciendo un documento sobre requisitos sanitarios en mataderos de puercos. Mi duda es la siguiente:

Fueron acondicionados (los animales) en estoniquetes, recipientes a prueba de goteo o cajas especiales de primer uso, según sea el caso y donde conste la fecha de empaque.

No encuentro por ningún lado la definición de "estoniquete". Alguien puede ayudarme?

Creo que son mallas, Cristina y es lo que nosotros empleamos (al menos en España) para empaquetar a los jamones curados. Se venden en rollos y cortamos el largo que queramos, luego atamos a ambos extremos.

En ese enlace tienes foto del estoniquete donde se llama precisamente así, pero en otro contexto, claro.

En el siguiente enlace se habla del envasado en inglés, traducido imagino, pero no me parece mal hecho.

Je je je. Ya veo porqué no lo encontramos. Y es que la palabra correcta sería "estoQUINETE"! Las sílabas están cambiadas....

Hasta veo que se llama a veces "stockinette" (la palabra en el contexto médico en inglés) en español: http://www.envacel.com.ar/prod.htm
Pero no recomiendo stockinette para la traducción en este contexto.
