Término o frase en italiano: bellezze d'insieme
I bei paesaggi vengono individuati dalla 1497 in base ad azioni di riconoscimento e tutela dei valori estetici di specifici luoghi individuati dalle Soprintendenze:
• bellezze individue;
• bellezze d’insieme;
• beni immobili che ne costituiscono il carettere;
• luoghi da cui le bellezze d’insieme vengono percepite

Does anyone know what would be the GB equivalent?? Many thanks

areas of special beauty
Explicación:
I don't believe that UK planning law has a direct equivalent, though Planning authorities do refer to areas of distinctive character and similar expressions both in strategy statements and individual decisions e.g. Surbiton: "areas of special character" http://www.kingston.gov.uk/surbiton_-_illustrated_report_19.... This Edinburgh related site states: "The Act makes provision for the designation of Conservation Areas as distinct from individual buildings ..." http://download.edinburgh.gov.uk/caca/CACANew_Town.pdf and "Conservation Areas" is probably the nearest official equivalent.
I have suggested "Areas of special beauty" but, as an official term, this appears to be restricted to the US and Australia.

1. le cose immobili che hanno cospicui caratteri di bellezza naturale o di singolarità geologica;

2. le ville, i giardini e i parchi che, non contemplati dalle leggi per la tutela delle cose d'interesse artistico o storico, si distinguono per la loro non comune bellezza;

3. i complessi di cose immobili che compongono un caratteristico aspetto avente valore estetico e tradizionale;

4. le bellezze panoramiche considerate come quadri naturali e così pure quei punti di vista o di belvedere, accessibili al pubblico, dai quali si goda lo spettacolo di quelle bellezze.

Usuario que pregunta: thanks Silvia, I'd already found the law... wouldn't say I'm none the wiser but... just don't know what we'd call it in English!

Coincido Jo Macdonald: or special/particular interest. Perhaps bellezze individue: a statue, building, bellezze d’insieme; a building complex, district or a whole village/town

Coincido Rachel Fell: is it different from AONBs (e.g. Cotswolds)?

  -> The reference to beni immobili suggests man-made as well as natural beauty.

Coincido Jean Martin: My question is the same as Rachel's. Are they one and the same thing?
