Traducciones de italiano a inglés [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Ingeniería (general) / Slat Conveyor (Trasportatore a tapparelle)

I've entered only the central key term, but we really need to consider the whole sentence in which this is embedded, again a description of a conveyor system:
"...saranno caratterizzati dall'avere *alta scorrevolezza* rispetto agli astucci trasportati al fine di minimizzare l'azione abrasiva ... "
'Scorrevolezza' I've encountered in the context of fluidity, or fluency of language. It could have to do with something flowing. I really need help with an accurate translation of the whole sentence, in context.
The best translation I've thought of so far is "The conveyor surfaces in contact with the boxes should be very smooth, in order to minimize abrasion .... " This doesn't use 'scorrevolezza' but I think it may express what is meant.

Explicación: sliding capacity as in sliding doors, highly slidable? http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=sliding here I found 'slidingness' which I don't necessarily agree with but it seems to exist...your choice.
