blavatsky: 19:18 Jan 3, 2007: Any more context to go on ?
Terry Richards: 20:02 Jan 3, 2007: It could be disk partions, memory partitions, cubicle partitions, partition walls and probably some I haven't thought of! What are the activities?
Lucy-Jane Michel: 21:05 Jan 3, 2007: List of 'partitions' - Next part of text is: Pour chaque partition, on fournit les détails suivants:
[table]

Partition ID CPU Mips Poids Mémoire en Mo
H1 - IBM
H2 - GA Production
H3 - GA Système
H4 - GA Back up
H5 - GPA Production
H6 - GPA Système
H7 - GPA Euro
H8 - Libre 8
Terry Richards: 06:58 Jan 4, 2007: The table headings seem to imply these are servers but I have never seen "Partition" used to mean "server". It's possible they are some sort of virtual servers some of which are running on the same physical machine but I'm not sure.

Is "Poids" a col?
Lucy-Jane Michel: 17:38 Mar 1, 2007: Thanks to everyone - for all your suggestions - sorry about the delay in closing the post...slappy wristies!

[computer] hard-drive partition listings [activities]
Explicación:
These listings tell you something about what is stored on each partition.

A computer has a hard-drive which stores and prcesses information.
A hard-drive can then be partitioned so that the computer now thinks it has more than one hard-drive. In this case eight partitions.
H1 - IBM
H2 - GA Production
H3 - GA Système
H4 - GA Back up
H5 - GPA Production
H6 - GPA Système
H7 - GPA Euro
H8 - Libre 8
Each partition is given a label or name which in this case seems to summarise what is being done/ stored.

xxxx by partition

Explicación:
a partition is part of a drive or server. Given the MIPS and the "processing power" question, this is almost certainly what it is referring to.

Activités however could refer to anything, and only you can know, 'cos you've got the document.

I would guess it might refer to "(work)load", but that is usually "charge" in French.

It might even be in the sense of 'business lines' or 'applications' (in the non-technical sense of the word ) - e.g. Accounting stuff is on one partition, stock control on another.
It might be in a technical sense - one partition being used as a proxy web server while another is used for, I dunno, development work or something (probably unlikely!).

If you really have no idea, then "activities" might be your best neutral bet, altho I would hesitate to use your word order, since you're changing the emphasis from activities to partitions...

Looks to me like a description of what each partition is used for. Any title that encapsulates that meaning should be fine. I'd probably be tempted to say something like "Use of each partition", although "function" or "purpose" or anything like that would also work.

activity per partition

Explicación:
This is literaal nd there's only on hit on google but tke lok and decide for yourself if it works in your context or not.

Ejemplos de uso:
  • "Displays the total, read, and write activity for each drive\n"on a repeating basis. This may be modified by options to show\n"
  • "activity per partition instead of or in addition to the drive\n"
