English term or phrase: Related words
"Related words" have the same base words, or are similiar in their spelling. "Suddenly" has the base word "sudden", which means "quick", "abrupt" or "unexpectedly". When the man stopped suddenly, he must have stopped unexpectedly.

Example sentence(s):

related words
Palabras asociadas

Explanation:
Since we do not know the contxt, I think that this is the more elegant and generic term for "related" We do not know if they have the same root, of if they have a similar meaning,, etc. "Asociadas " could provide for any of the situations.
