consideration rate taux de considération Explanation: Looks like a neologism originally used internally by Amazon employees (see second link), but it seems to have made its way into French, at least online. I guess this is the definition you mention? ‘Consideration rate is calculated by dividing the number of product considerations by the number of ad impressions. Considerations are defined as the total number of Amazon detail page views of products promoted in the ad campaign by those exposed to the ad campaign.’ (Detail page view, by the way, is ‘page détaillée du produit.’ Benchmark is ‘benchmark’ although ‘indicateur’ has the same meaning.) Publications (in any language) still add an explanatory note to this item of jargon, so if there is no note in your original, it could mean that the intended reader is familiar with this usage already. Hope this helps. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 hrs (2014-07-24 06:01:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I see that you had found a different but equivalent definition. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 hrs (2014-07-24 06:08:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Actually, the definition you added is much broader than mine. And indeed, a Google search for ‘taux de considération’ suggests a variety of uses in the marketing field. Whether ‘percentage of survey respondents who are considering buying/using X’, or ‘percentage of vendors a person is considering buying from, out of the vendors they know about’, etc. But none of these are specific to e-commerce.
