agree  Chema Nieto Castañón: Slice would probably work in this case for pastilla. Anyhow, you are right it does not add much, as it only serves as a rough (and ambiguous) approximation to shape (more than a disc I think of a bar of soap-like chunk -pastilla de jabón).
