SDL Trados group buy Maintainance agreement

Hi everyone,

I am about to purchase SDL Trados Studio 2014 (group buy) and I noticed that the discount offered is for the software without any maintenance agreement. Do you recommend adding it or not? I have never installed it on my computer (moreover I am planning to work with a Mac) and I am a bit afraid to get stucked. I would really appreciate any advice.

You are entitled to free licensing and installation support even if you don't have a maintenance agreement. So if you get stuck with the installation, SDL will help you for free.

In my opinion, the main advantage of buying a support agreement is to get help with complex files, answers to questions that don't get answered here, and, to get free upgrades when new versions are released. ▲ Collapse
