I use Trados 2011. Today I noticed that then I move the cursor to segments containing date ranges of the type

27.05.11 – 06.06.11

it auto-converts (auto-translates) them to

5/27/2011 – 6/6/2011

and auto-confirms the translation.

In the "Translation Results" window I see that Trados found a similarly looking range, from my earlier translation: 15.04.2011 - 25.04.2011 - but this range was translated by me as "15-Apr-11 – 25-... See more

In the "Translation Results" window I see that Trados found a similarly looking range, from my earlier translation: 15.04.2011 - 25.04.2011 - but this range was translated by me as "15-Apr-11 – 25-Apr-11", so it's odd that Trados converts the current segment to the format with forward slashes (5/27/2011) and shifts the day number to the second position. ▲ Collapse

I think I agree that I sometimes see automatic changes while I have translated it earlier, which should supercede automation settings (imho). But your earlier translations should show up in the translation results window and you should be able to select ... See more

I think I agree that I sometimes see automatic changes while I have translated it earlier, which should supercede automation settings (imho). But your earlier translations should show up in the translation results window and you should be able to select it from there with a keyboard shortcut - at least in newer versions of Studio.
