Hi everybody,

I have Studio 2014 and Excel 2007, and I want to import several Excel (.xlsx) files that all have many columns and I only need to translate one column so that the new Excel file has my translation of that one column and everything else stays the same. How do I import it so that only one column shows up in Studio and the rest of the columns are not involved?

Hi everybody,

I have Studio 2014 and Excel 2007, and I want to import several Excel (.xlsx) files that all have many columns and I only need to translate one column so that the new Excel file has my translation of that one column and everything else stays the same. How do I import it so that only one column shows up in Studio and the rest of the columns are not involved?

What I've done so far:
created a New Project, added the files and when I get to Project Files in the Wizard and click on File Types and Excel, I don't see an option for selecting columns? I can't seem to find this in the Help menu either for Studio - or on youtube.

I assume it is one tiny step somewhere I just didn't see. I hope someone can help!

Thanks,
Helle

Hide the other columns Jul 25, 2014

The best method is to hide the columns in Excel before you process the files in Studio. By default, Studio will only display unhidden columns.
