Yes, same ol' Sunday repeat polls.

If you're feeling guilty about CATs, check out the following:

Or, if you just want a giggle over your morning cuppa:

Six anonymous - or what I call 'hit n run' - polls on the trot. Nice programming, folks!

And anonymous polls shouldn't be allowed anyway.

Yes, that's why I asked to implement a "I like" button to avoid what I'm doing now with my Ditto message

I said it before Nov 15, 2015

…and I'll say it again: the Proz website doesn't offer a very user-friendly poll generator. It reminds me of those support pages or Frequent Q+A pages you find on websites. Most people just start a new question or discussion instead of running a search, even when the website clearly recommends or invites the user to do so!

I guess it's just human nature. Even I do it whenever

I guess it's just human nature. Even I do it whenever I visit www.vinylengine.com to ask questions about turntables, cartridges or the like.

Whenever I want to go back 20 years in time, I come to the Proz website

It seems to me that the ProZ.com moderators for these polls are mostly catering to beginners, and I remember most of the questions were interesting in the beginning - the first time around.

I also think that some translators prefer to stay anonymous, because they never know if their question gets modified to a point, where they don't recognize it themselves.

BTW: Recently I have submitted a couple of fresh and (at least to me) interesting questions, but for some reason

But that is what the search function is for to avoid multiple identical polls?

Years ago, when I had a paid Proz membership, I did the same: I submitted what I thought were thought-provoking questions. They were probably cyber-shredded.

How to avoid identical polls Nov 16, 2015

It seems that the powers to be in Proz in charge of programming polls have forgotten the functionality of their own site.

I sincerely hope that the next poll is not a repeat and/or 'anonymous.'
