2 x 20" Mar 5, 2015

I prefer two monitors to one very wide one.

Mine is 24 inches, and it is wonderful. It makes a huge difference.

23-inch monitors here Mar 5, 2015

...and four (4) of them in a square configuration (two on top, two at the bottom). I win!

For product design purposes, all technical designations are placed on the back in a nice, visible plate.

Two large monitors may be better than a very wide one, like the 27-inch Apple monitor, a jewel of a screen.

Like my colleague Muriel Vasconcellos, I was running out of screen space, so I invested in the best IPS monitors out there. Why IPS? Because they are

Like my colleague Muriel Vasconcellos, I was running out of screen space, so I invested in the best IPS monitors out there. Why IPS? Because they are the basic monitors for graphic designers (I do graphic design and typography art) and they display colors faithfully.

Reminder: if you are having trouble with the small type in Windows 7 regardless of your monitor size, bump it up a few percentage points using the Custom option. Windows 7 gives some presets but they cause the screen elements to fall into disarray.

Heather, are you a member of MICATA? If so, I'll see you at the March symposium in Overland Park, KS.

Just my two 24" monitors. I only have one working right now, it looks like I misplaced a cable in the move :/

46" Mar 5, 2015

I guess I am the only one crazy enough to work every day using a 46" screen.

15" -- but... Mar 5, 2015

Although this is a fine size for me, I think sometimes a second screen would be more beneficial than a bigger screen!

2 screens: one 17" and the other 20" Mar 5, 2015

When I'm at the office, I use a 20", 4:3 aspect ratio monitor and my laptop screen 10") as secondary.
When I'm out and about, I use only the laptop screen, of course.

XP for me too Mar 6, 2015

BTW, Neilmac, I think I'm the dinosaur here since I still run XP on both machines. XP is soooo nice, in a delightfully anachronistic way of course.

I have a 14-inch laptop running Windows 7 and a desktop with a 19-inch screen running Windows XP. I love XP, it's so easy to use. I'm thinking of upgrading the desktop later in the year, but I'll always keep a little partition somewhere just for XP alone.

2 screens 24" each Mar 6, 2015

A vast improvement on the single 15" screen that I had before.

22.5" (2) + 17" (1) Mar 6, 2015

I hate it when I'm on the go and only have my 15" laptop's. It's so slow to work on a single monitor.

24'' + 20.4'', but the second one is never used.
