Having trouble with segmentation rules

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. I'll get right to it.

I want to segment this bit of text:

【x[3]： 節点の座標を格納するためのdouble型配列へのポインタ。】【この関数では、指定されたインデックスをもつ節点を見つけると、その節点のXYZ座標を配列“x[3]”に代入します。】【配列のサイズは「3」にしてください。】なお、ここで得られるのは、JCFファイルに記述�... See more

I want to segment this bit of text:

【x[3]： 節点の座標を格納するためのdouble型配列へのポインタ。】【この関数では、指定されたインデックスをもつ節点を見つけると、その節点のXYZ座標を配列“x[3]”に代入します。】【配列のサイズは「3」にしてください。】なお、ここで得られるのは、JCFファイルに記述されている節点座標です。

So it looks like this:

【x[3]： 節点の座標を格納するためのdouble型配列へのポインタ。】

【この関数では、指定されたインデックスをもつ節点を見つけると、その節点のXYZ座標を配列“x[3]”に代入します。】

【配列のサイズは「3」にしてください。】

なお、ここで得られるのは、JCFファイルに記述されている節点座標です。

Note that some sentences are encased in brackets, while others (the last) aren't.

I currently have my segmentation rules set as follows:

Break - [。？！] - (blank)
Exception - 。- 】
Break - 】- (blank)

However, segmentation turns out like this:

【この関数では、指定されたIDをもつ節点を見つけると、その節点のXYZ座標を配列“x[3]”に代入します。

】

【配列のサイズは「3」にしてください。

】

なお、ここで得られるのは、JCFファイルに記述されている節点座標です。

If somebody could please point out what I'm doing incorrectly I would be very grateful.

try the Yahoo group, which has heavier traffic, including Japanese translators.

Always put exceptions above breaks Apr 28, 2016

Without going into details of your rules, you should always put exceptions above breaks. Otherwise, they are not evaluated.

I can only second what Susan wrote: go to the user group, where there are several people translating from Japanese, including developers.

Reordering my rules did the trick! Thanks a lot.

I wish they made this clear in the manual.
