Hi everybody, a German client is insisting that I include the phrase "“The reverse charge procedure applies.” on my invoices. I believe this has to do with VAT/GST. Anybody knows what this entails. My concern is that VAT at German VAT rate be deducted from my final payment.

... this means that the customer will pay the VAT to the German government but at the same time will get a refund in the same height by the German government. The sentence in question and the VAT-IDs of both of you have to be mentioned in the invoice for that. You also will have to make a recapitulative statement to your tax office according to the rules in your country. Nothing should be deducted from your final payment.
