MemoQ not shutting down Thread poster: Shelley Fairweather-Vega

I upgraded to 2014 version 2 and recently finished my first project. I have not been able to close MemoQ except by using Window's task manager to force it to close. Every attempt I make to get the program to shut down from within the program itself gives me the error below. Any advice to cure this?

Unfortunately I have no solution just to offer, other than moral support to let you know that you are not alone!
I had the same problem after completing a server project. As you mentioned, I force quit the program, and it has not happened since.
I came across this forum posting by Googling the following error:
"You are trying to detach a project that is not the currently attached one."
Not sure what that means...

...and sometimes it won't let me even change project either. 75% of the time I have to use the task manager! No message, it just doesn't react or locks up.

I had left the project active for a few hours, as I had planned to return to work after a break. The short break turned into an extended one and I couldn't exit MemoQ. Very annoying.
I've also found that I can't return to the project if I access the dashboard. I have to hit Ctrl-ALT-DEL to bring up the screen to change users, task manager, etc., then cancel. It clears the dashboard. Another annoying issue!

You can also press the keys mentioned above to open Task Manager directly. It is much faster.

I press Ctrl-Alt-Del to force a screen refresh and get rid of the dashboard, not to access the Task Manager, although I do sometimes need to use the Task Manager to exit the program.
I discovered more issues today, this time regarding TM behavior. I'm going to write a support ticket when I have the time.
