What are the terminological problems on legal translation?

For being successfull with legal translations you should know about the source and the target culture. This especially includes the legal terms in both languages.

Even words looking very similiar may differ from each other by their special meanings in special cases.

Therefore as a first step I would recommend to prepare your own term-list with terms from both languages. Unfortunately it looks easier as it is.
