请不要忘记，要对一个国家发动战争，需要慎重再慎重，要有确凿的证据，还应该争取用一切可能的其它手段解决问题，战争只能是没办法的办法，不到万不得已不能采用的手段。
如果你认为我查到的法文资料还不能说明问题，也许你可以查查当时反对这场战争的中国、俄国、德国的有关资料，这样会有一个较全面的认识。

All I'm trying to say regarding the Iraq war is, we have to look at world events from a historic perspective.

Well, for some reason I have trouble editing my posts in this thread. And I regret using the word "fiction".
But anyway, I don't dispute anything you quoted from the French version of this link. I just like the English version better. Not to mention I lived through that period and at the time was actually concerned enough to keep up with what was going on at the United Nations.

It seems that we have some professional politicians here who love to pick a fight with everyone. I mean everyone. We have seen this as a pattern: when a debate is over mostly because other people are fed up and decide to give up, then someone will post something politically provocative to induce responses, which interrupts the few days of truce that we enjoy. I believe that most of their opponents have choose to quit debating them, including myself, as debating with people who are determined to close their mind to different opinions and who think they have higher moral standards than others will not get you anywhere. In short, you are bound to hit the steel wall when discussing things with I-am-holier-than-you-are people.
