I have to translate a text in WinTrans.
This CAT tool (if it is) is totally new to me, never heard of it. Could anybody please give me some more information? (I work mainly with SDL 2011/Trados 7 Freelance).

Wow, just Googled it. It looks awful! Think I'll stick with CafeTran.

RC-WinTrans?
Oct 29, 2014
If RC-WinTrans is what you mean, that is primarily a software localization tool; a very powerful and intuitive one. I would need to have more information on the project setup to tell you whether RC-WinTrans is the best choice.

Answer Robert

Dear Michael/Stanislav,
WinTrans is not my choice, but that of client. So, I can't use another CAT-tool and I have to translate untranslated text in the middle of already translated text (figure it out).
With all due respect, I am not asking for an opinion, but for more information.

So what exactly do you need to know?
Oct 29, 2014
Dear Robert, You haven't answered my question, and it is quite important to make sure that each one of us is not talking about different software. Anyway, if RC-WinTrans is what you mean, you can find all relevant information on schaudin.com. The software also has extensive Help to get you started.
Or is there anything specific you would like to know?
