Hello,

I use CafeTran on two Ubuntu-Linux computers (a 32bit sytem, running 12.04 and a 64bit system, now running 16.04. I've had the licence since March 2015, a one time purchase. On the older system the application reverted to try and buy, and I am wondering why this is:

Hello,

I use CafeTran on two Ubuntu-Linux computers (a 32bit sytem, running 12.04 and a 64bit system, now running 16.04. I've had the licence since March 2015, a one time purchase. On the older system the application reverted to try and buy, and I am wondering why this is:

- I installed updates (Linux) (rather sporadically - I don't use the computer often as it's only a back-up computer)
- I removed a client's file from CafeTran
- Is it possible that I may have inadvertently deleted the licence file from CafeTran?
- Has this happened to somebody else?

So far CafeTran works fine on the other system.

I haven't updated to the most recent version yet, on either computer.

Thanks a lot.

Regards from Berlin

Contact support Sep 25, 2016

You didn't move CafeTran.jar to a new location, did you?

Do you still have the email in which you inserted the machine ID to request a licence? Has the ID changed?

Anyway, just contact support and ask if you're entitled to a license renewal.

CafeTran is still on the same computer Sep 25, 2016

Dear "CafeTran Training",

Thanks a lot for replying. The application is still on the same computer. I already mailed a request to where the licence came from, with the email chain attached, and the computer ID, and I'm waiting for a reply. Thanks for pointing out to ask for a "licence renewal". I'll send another email asking if this is possible.

Regards from Berlin,

Birgit Richter

Installation location changed Sep 26, 2016

You may have changed the installation location (e.g. another hard drive) or user's account on Ubuntu. The best way to help you with is via the support ticket at: https://cafetran.freshdesk.com/support/home

Thanks, Eugenio, for your tip, although I didn't upgrade to a newer version, which is when things can disappear during the cleanup and I am using the Java that comes from this version's repositories.

Birgit Richter
