Mark segment as "translated" and move to next untouched Thread poster: Sander Van de Moortel

Often when I finish entering translation text for a segment, I just want it marked as "translated" rather than "touched" and then move on to the next segment, so that, when I stumble upon another (similar) segment, the CrossTank at least has my translation in it? | | | Georgi Kovachev Bulgaria Local time: 21:35 Member (2010) English to Bulgarian + ... You could use certain short cuts | Nov 16, 2012 |
Hi Sander, Depending on the stage of the translation process (Translate, Review and Correction ) in Across, you have the following short cuts: 1. Alt+R — sets the paragraph to "translated", 2. Alt+A — sets the paragraph to "reviewed", 3. Alt+C — sets the paragraph to "corrected". As far as I know, you should use Alt+down arrow to go to the next paragraph, which is time–consuming. Happy translating! Regards, Georgi | | | no single shortcut | Nov 16, 2012 |
So, unlike other CAT-tools, Across does not have a single shortcut for this? | | | Georgi Kovachev Bulgaria Local time: 21:35 Member (2010) English to Bulgarian + ... Actually it one short cut | Nov 16, 2012 |
Hi, In Across you have three stages in the translation process that are set by default, namely, Translation, Review, Correction. The short cuts pertain to each one of them. While you are translating, you use Alt+R. Likewise, while you are reviewing, you should use Alt+A and so on. You could set the workflow in Across in the Translation mode only. but then move on to the next segment? | Nov 17, 2012 |
But when I press alt-R it, Across does not automatically move to the next segment. It just sits on the old segment, which I find completely unnecessary seeing as I've already translated it. I still have to press alt-right arrow to move on. So that's a two-shortcut process. | | | | Andrea Riffo Chile Local time: 14:35 English to Spanish + ...
Hi! I'm having a similar problem. The Ctrl+Alt+Enter combination sets the paragraph as "touched" only, not "translated. The Ctrl+Alt+Z combination does nothing Is there a way to customize these in crossDesk?
